It’s always the negative mistake. Disliking your own sex doesn’t mean you want to be the other sex. Disliking your own party doesn’t mean you want to vote the other party. People can incessantly hear both fallacies, and sometimes people believe them.

But Democrats are unpopular. There was a belief that new leadership, younger leadership, would make them popular, but it seems to have made the problem worse.

Polling seems irrelevant at this point.

One person is not a poll but Marty Lipset used to say you can learn a lot about a country's politics by talking to one person. I was a reliable Democratic small dollar donor. I gave thousands over the years. I was a reliable Democratic voter. I am still a registered Democrat. But I terminated my ActBlue account. All Democratic text messages for donations are automatically blocked and reported as spam. I send money to AIPAC. Florida is in early voting. I voted against Angie Nixon for US Senate. Jolly who wanted reverse DeSantis policicies earned him a vote for his opponent. Some Democrats got my vote down ballot, as did some GOPers. I am not MAGA. I know Trump lost the 2020 election. Crossfire Hurricane was not a hoax. But I am hardline on deportations. I am hardline against transgenderism. I am hardline pro-Ukraine. I am hardline pro-Israel. I am hardline pro-NATO. Make of that what you will. I feel I don't have a political home. If 2028 voting we're today I would vote for Marco Rubio. My vote for him is his to lose.
