Last week I talked to “Adult Human Mother,” a California woman whose daughter was secretly transitioned by school staff and has now detransitioned. She talked to me while she was preparing signatures for a ballot initiative that would prohibit public school faculty from changing a student’s name or pronouns without the permission of the child’s parents or guardian.
