Minnesota Has A Disproportionate Number Of ICE Shootings And Tim Walz Is The Reason

Democrats, activists want chaos, not solutions

In 2025, there were 22 incidents in which armed immigration officials shot someone. Six of them, or a little over one-quarter, happened in Texas. That is actually what we should expect, since almost a quarter (~23 percent) of ICE detentions also happen in Texas.

Minnesota, on the other hand, ranks below number 35 of the 50 states in ICE detentions, so we should not expect more than one or zero shootings there, statistically, and indeed not a single one of the 2025 ICE shooting incidents occurred in Minnesota until 21 December, just days before Nick Shirley’s video brought attention to systemic fraud by the Somali immigrant community there.

The reader is free to look through the official information, or else rely on anti-police radicals for their information, if they wish to verify the above statements. My opening paragraph is not controversial at all. If ICE agents were as trigger-happy as advocates of open borders would have us believe, or as anti-Somali as opponents of Donald Trump would have us believe, then these numbers would look very different.

I have included all shootings by either the Customs and Border Patrol or ICE in the total number of shootings. I have for example included the 27-year-old man who fired on a facility in McAllen International Airport in July, wounding three law enforcement officers but also killing two detainees. I have also included the Cuban national who was wounded while allegedly assaulting ICE agents with his vehicle, as well as the Inauguration Day killing of a CBP agent, David Maland, by a member of the Zizians transgender death cult.

This is hardly the picture of an agency that is out of control. It is an agency under siege by lunatics. Mobs of them are besieging and vandalizing hotels in Minneapolis in search of federal officials to lynch. They want blood. They say they have been especially targeted, for some reason, that they are the victims, here.

The intervening variable in Minnesota is Tim Walz. Being a despot, Walz calls for escalation from behind the protection of his mansion gates and then being Minnesota, a leftist mob does his bidding. People show up to the ensuing riot armed with guns and get arrested if they are lucky, killed if they are stupid. One of those people was finally shot this weekend, apparently reaching for what turned out to be an empty holster.

One automotive activist was recently shot while striking an ICE agent with her Honda Pilot. In the shock of witnessing the event, her partner demanded to know why federal officials had used real bullets.

Pretti, who deleted all of his social media before violently confronting ICE officers in the street this weekend, is described as “merely directing traffic” as if this was a citizen responsibility — and a “legal observer” as if this is a protected class of activist. It is just propaganda. Gaslighting.

Once upon a time, the world confronted a phenomenon called ‘suicide by cop’ in which disturbed, irrational, angry, or despondent individuals who lack the courage to take their own lives deliberately escalate confrontations with law enforcement in order to have their lives taken.

What we see in Minneapolis now is the emergence of ‘martyrdom by immigration authorities’, a willingness to die defending criminal aliens from Donald Trump. Pretti’s preparations suggest he intended to become a martyr. The price of the virtue is the signal, and giving your life for a cause ennobles whatever you were willing to die for.

Thus the beatification of Pretti by the mob, and by the legacy media hacks giving us all the yellow journalism about an agency out of control. He was a nurse, they exclaim, as if this entitled him to consequence-free armed horseplay with law enforcement. Laken Riley was a nursing student who went for a jog and got murdered by a criminal alien, but I did not see anyone trying to have a shootout with police over that travesty.

Instead, I was lectured and hectored about racism and xenophobia by Democratic politicians and media elites while unknown, because undocumented, millions of people streamed into the United States, too many of them already being criminals in their own countries.

Elections have consequences, and Tim Walz was rejected by the American voter in part because Democrats were on the wrong side of this. They still are. Now they want to embrace “abolish ICE” as a motto because “defund the police” worked out so well with voters before. They simply do not believe in laws, anymore.

I wish I was exaggerating. Democrats denied being the party of open borders in 2024. In 2026, they are completely open about this unpopular agenda item. James Talarico, ostensibly the more electable Democratic candidate to run against John Cornyn, the incumbent Texas Republican, made this explicit in his primary debate last week.

“Our southern border should be like our front porch”, Talarico said. “There should be a giant welcome mat out front.” This is not something Americans wanted. Talarico is down with abolishing immigration enforcement. “It’s time to tear down this secret police force and replace it with an agency that actually is going to focus on public safety”, by which he means the safety of criminal aliens.

Instead of deporting them, Talarico wants to impeach Kristi Noem, “prosecute agents who have abused their power,” and “haul these masked men in front of Congress so the world can see their faces.” Talarico calls this plan for vengeance on immigration enforcers “comprehensive immigration reform” but he is not trying to improve the American nation.

He is perhaps trying to get around the left flank of his primary opponent, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, but these words will not play well with Texas general election voters. Instead, Talarico demonstrates that Democrats simply do not want immigration laws to be enforced at all, by anyone, ever, and that they want to intimidate or block everyone who does enforce the laws.

Recall that this all began with the revelation of billions of dollars in fraud committed by a favored immigrant community in Minnesota, where Democrats deliberately set out to build a permanent majority voting block through immigration. Walz withdrew from his reelection bid and then poured gasoline on every spark in sight to distract us from the massive fraud bubble that inflated under his watch.

He does not want us to know how deep the rot goes, because then we might demand Democrats change something.

Fake news stories about ICE are a furtherance of the fraud by partisan reporters. See, for example, this heartbreaking photo of a boy, just five years old, whose father abandoned him when ICE showed up. False headlines and simpering misinformation have convinced tens of millions of liberals that ICE officers “kidnapped” him and used him as “bait” by having the boy knock on his family’s door.

What they were supposed to do, presumably, was abandon the child in subzero weather just like his father did. This is a totally reasonable position to liberals, right now, because they are not really worried about moral good. The higher, more vital cause is stopping the evil orange man from deporting child molesters, murderers, and fraudsters. That is ‘going too far’.

American cities were notably riot free every year that Joe Biden was president while the surrounding years were notably defined by fiery-yet-mostly-peaceful protests. American cities did not see riots after Charlie Kirk’s assassination or either attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Democrats were revering the officer who shot Ashli Babbitt on the anniversary of January 6 one day before Renée Good became their martyr. Babbitt was unarmed.

As an autonomous zone went up behind barricades of refuse this weekend in Minneapolis, a protester was arrested for biting a fingertip off a Homeland Security Investigations officer. Meanwhile, a crowd tried to burn an ICE building in Portland. Fiery and cannibalistic, yet mostly peaceful protests: this is the world Democrats wanted.

Of course, all of this grandstanding and violence is entirely unnecessary. Walz could simply cooperate with ICE and turn over his criminal alien residents at the jail, just like all those states where there are far fewer ICE-involved shootings. That would make sense. That would be a solution. Tim Walz is not about solutions, though. He is about nauseating Anne Frank references that play well on Bluesky.

“Sanctuary city policies entice fraud, incentivize illegal immigration and destroy law and order”, Sen. Lindsey Graham tweeted on Saturday. “We can never have a rational immigration system in America as long as sanctuary city policies exist.” Graham said he will move this week to pass legislation eliminating this practice. This will give Democrats another opportunity to show voters that they do not want to engage in commonsense solutions or compromises.

Chaos is a strategy. The reason those street activists blow whistles and make it harder for ICE to communicate is so that resulting tragic miscommunications can be weaponized against law enforcement. Walz refuses to recognize the enforcers of American immigration laws as “law enforcement” because he does not want the laws enforced. The mob is giving him exactly the chaos he wants.

Instead of bipartisan participation in any actual reform of a broken immigration system, watch Democrats now defend their policy of protecting criminal aliens from deportation, because someone got shot, how awful. It was always the plan. They do not have another plan. Blood was always part of the plan. Their own, first.

If they succeed, it will not be the first time Democrats tore the country apart to maintain their supply of cheap labor and votes. At least this time, they do not treat Somalis as 3/5ths of a person. In fact, since this is all about covering up their frauds, Democrats probably count each Somali as five regular citizens, in Minnesota. Watch that turn out to not be a joke.
