It’s time for another roundup of everything I have written or podcasted lately as an internaut. Internauts ride broadband rockets into the statusphere until they space out. (Do not space out while surfing the internet, go touch grass instead.)

Ukraine Reveals The S-200 Missiles That Make Russian Pilots Keep Their Distance
Look at that rocket zoom. By the time it reaches the edge of the frame, it is already breaking the speed of sound. By the time the four booster rockets are released at altitude, the missile is flying at Mach 4. It has a range over 300 km (180 mi). Anything flying less than Mach 3.5 will not escape a volley of these venerable Cold War missiles, known to …

How Pamela Garfield-Jaeger Responds To Gender Distress In Children
Pamela Garfield-Jaeger had been a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) for two decades when a health crisis sidelined her from clinical work for five years. Returning part-time in 2021, she found that her profession had been taken over by a “powerful political and cultural machine that is working overtime to divide families and harm children.” She was “shocked at the changes I observed since my four-year hiatus from work” after “seeing a very different world than the one I knew prior to my disability…

The Reason Why Trump Is Succeeding In The Middle East And Not Russia
Donald Trump is not ideological. He is not natively opposed to Islam, or Arabs, or the Middle East anymore than he was ever really a Mussolini fascist or an admirer of Hitler’s program or a Manchurian candidate, per his most deranged critics. Trump is in fact…

Ketanji Brown Jackson Still Pretending She Doesn't Know What A Woman Is
State Rep. Laurel Libby of Maine was offended by boys being allowed to cheat in girls’ sporting events. When she spoke out on Facebook, Libby included the name and photo of a male student receiving this blinkered privilege in a pole vault event. Because she had blasphemed their most sacred caste by calling out the cheater, the Democrats who control the Maine House censured Libby, refusing to count her votes on legislation until she apologized for her sin against the holy trans child…

The Decline And Fall Of Pedro Pascal
Twelve days ago, I predicted the imminent decline of Pedro Pascal’s career. His new Fantastic Four: First Steps movie is in last-minute reshoots just weeks before release as producers humanize the Silver Surfer and replace the entire third act because test audiences did not like Pascal in it. Postmodern Hollywood is incapable of telling a heroic story and makes casting choices based on identity characteristics. Pedro Pascal’s star has risen in these business conditions, which are rapidly changing. After years of overexposure, Pascal will be the wrong man for the new roles in Tinseltown, anymore…

How Bad Immigration Policy Made One Colorado Democrat Into A Trump Voter
“Dems' favorability among Colorado voters fell to 39% in March from 52% last November, while unfavorability jumped to 56% from 45%,” Axios reported in April. “That's a pretty incredible reversal, and it's driven almost entirely by [Kamala] Harris voters, including both Democrats and unaffiliated who supported Harris,” Democratic consultant Kevin Ingham said…

Sunset Of The Solar Temple: The Esoteric Christianity Of An Interstellar Cult
Just before midnight on the evening of 4 October 1994, a barn in Ferme des Rochettes near Cheiry, Switzerland began to burn with eighteen people inside it (see photo). They were all dead, arranged like spokes on a wheel, wearing capes. Three more bodies were found inside an octagonal room with mirrors on seven walls, and one more body in a farmhouse nearby. Altogether, 21 people had been shot, execution-style. Fourteen of them had plastic bags placed over their heads. “Canisters of propane and garbage bags full of gasoline sat hooked up to detonation devices” which failed to explode…

Skyline

I am visiting a friend in a different part of the area where I have resettled in California. As I exit the elevator on his floor, I discover an interesting view. I pause to snap a photo. As I turn to walk the last few steps and ring his doorbell, a nonagenarian black woman shuffles past me, hunched over her walker, with a tiny leashed Dachsund trotting beside. “Good morning,” she says with a grin. I return the greeting, politely passing her in the opposite direction.

The Democratic Party Civil War Makes It Even Harder To Give Up Genderwoo
Democrats are at war over the future of the party, making them even more resistant to hearing concerns about their sacred progressive cows, such as ‘gender identity’ ideology. From Washington, DC to Maine to Colorado to California, Democrats have doubled-down on imposing the genderwoo program from the top, wherever they have power. This virtue-signalling is oppositional to Donald Trump, for Democrats lack a consensus leader and the one thing they can agree on is opposing him…

Iran Is Pretty Bad At Real Wars, Actually
The revolutionary regime of Iran is very good at retail terrorism and very bad at pitched battles. This has always been the case, and has only become more true over time. The clerics have never trusted the military with any political power, so they created the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), a multi-service parallel military force that serves the political purposes of the regime, making its budget larger than that of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army (AJA, or Artesh), which exists to defend Iran…
