'Black Insurrectionist' Self-Deletes After Being Identified As Ali Alexander
I consider this evidence that the ID was right
The person behind “Black Insurrectionist” DocNetyoutube, the Twitter/X app account that was at the center of the recent “ABC debate whistleblower” story as well as an explosive new story accusing the Democratic vice presidential candidate of pedophilia, deleted their account last night.
Only one day had passed since I published the analysis below giving a possible identification of the account as Ali Alexander. I consider this sequence of events to be evidence the ID was correct.
As noted on Wednesday, conservative filmmaker Ladd Ehlinger gets credit for spotting the similarities first. After he shared his suspicions with me, I asked a number of people with long experience observing Ali to look at the account. We quickly formed a consensus that it was likely him. Others, notably Milo Yiannopoulos, disagree.
On Sunday evening, Ehlinger and I began to reply to the account as “Ali” just as the user was reportedly beginning a three-day lockout from the account for violating app rules. App users picked up on the possible identification after I published about it Wednesday morning. On Thursday night, the user chose to delete the account rather than face continued scrutiny, hopefully ending the “October surprise” stream of disinformation they have been putting out.
Kudos to the conservative outlets that did not run right away with DocNetyoutube’s nonsensical narratives, waiting for more evidence instead. Everyone, left right and center, benefits from patient skepticism whenever sensational stories arise on social media. Let’s all hope that someone eventually brings Ali’s career of fraud and fabrications to an end, whether or not he was behind this particular account.
