Morning Awful: Santorum Craves Apocalypse

Rick Santorum would like everyone to stop apologizing for accidental Qur’an burnings. Who cares how many Americans get killed over it? Not Rick, who has never been a friend to the American soldier — or the separation of church and state. Like Greg Stillson, the fictional presidential candidate in Stephen King’s The Dead Zone, a President Santorum would pursue his holy mission to invite the clash of civilizations. He’s a character right out of Bob Altemeyer’s book on authoritarians.

Kinda funny since I thought the Apocalypse was a Protestant thing.

I thought anti-contraception was a Catholic thing, too, but look at the Duggars.

True, I guess it’s an American thing.
