Meet Mr. Lucifer

One of the British “Ealing Comedies,” this 1953 film is an early satire on the corrosive social effects of television — and the wider problems and dangers of consumerism. Meet Mr. Lucifer follows a television set being passed on from one owner to another, wreaking strife and discord wherever it goes.
