Now BoldProgressives Wants to Draft Elizabeth Warren to Run for Senate Against Scott Brown

Almost the same instant that I posted on the obsessive firebagging over Elizabeth Warren and the CFPB this morning, BoldProgressives started splashing an ad in the sidebar asking for people to draft her for a Senate run against Scott Brown. Screenshots below the fold provide a study in irony.

Rumors about her desire to run against Brown have circulated for months. I sincerely hope they are true, and I sincerely hope Adam Green and BoldProgressives spend at least half the money they raised off their year-long email pressure campaign on getting her elected. That would be a change I could believe in.

    Talk about timing. Like I said previously, I do hope she runs. It’d be a nice capper to Ted Kennedy being replaced by Scott Brown.

    I am a little squeamish at using the word “draft” – that has a loaded connotation I don’t like. A draft implies making someone serve even if they don’t want to. But then again, there’s no way in hell they can ACTUALLY draft her, so I’ll let it slide.

    Today’s the day of the long headline, isn’t it?
