Morning Awful: Roger Stackham

Bad enough that tea party Republicans are making hay over the “creeping threat” of Sharia law. Worse when paranoid wingnuts load down their car trunks with explosives and drive from California to Michigan in search of a Mosque to attack:

“I’ve heard a couple of different reactions: What they were saying is that this guy, whether he has some mental instability or not, he could have caused a lot of damage.” And, he added, “if his name was Ali or Muhammed and he did a similar thing at a synagogue, he would have been immediately labeled a domestic terrorist.” (Emphasis mine)

There were about 500 people inside the mosque when Roger Stackham was arrested. By my count, this brings the total incidents of right-wing violence in America since July 2008 to 25; but watch Michelle Malkin and company spend all week trying to convince themselves the guy was a liberal.
