The Riddance Of James O’Keefe

James O’Keefe the turd third has a new agit-prop hit piece up at YouTube (link is wearing a condom). This time, O’Keefe has infiltrated the US Census (by getting a job) and found government waste (training timesheets). The fraud-who-would-be-called-journalist extrapolates his findings to conclude there are billions of dollars in wasted wages every year. As usual, he’s full of beans.

Firstly, ALL large organizations do this with training timesheets. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever had a job where training time didn’t get fudged on paperwork — including the US Army, Walgreens, an in-home sales job, fast food joints, and a grocery store.

Second, O’Keefe apparently never reported for the actual work of knocking on doors and asking questions of scared or unfriendly people in 90-degree heat. It fits the pattern of a guy who created the ACORN scandal through heavy editing and liberal mistreatment of the truth.

If you’re thinking that all of this is typical of a rich kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth (and who mistook it for a sign of John Gault-powers), you’re absolutely right. He’s making a fuss over, and pretending to party like a pimp on, thirty bucks. Can you say “out-of-touch”?

So far, all of Andrew Breitbart’s link-fu has managed to get his video just over 320 views in 24 hours. By way of comparison, BP Has Murdered Spongebob has almost 130 views in just about eight hours — without any help, and without being featured at my own site.

O’Keefe is not a journalist. His videos are not acts of journalism. Anyone who uses or embeds his “research” or even links to it without giving the viewer a thorough dose of context is not a journalist, either.

Which brings me to a video that deserves to out-pace O’Keefe’s. “Riddance” is a loud, angry exposure of a truth that is nowhere near as contagious as his lies. Let’s see whose video can get more views…
