Red State’s Erik Erikkkson just got on CNN. For some reason, the right-wing nuts and hacks get first dibs on the punditry slots at “America’s liberal network.” I’m all for the trend of bloggers going mainstream, but this is a little much.
Continuing my ban on POLITICO linkage:

You know who deserves a spot on CNN? Bob Cesca. He’s good with the wonky stuff; in fact I’d like to see a Cesca-Erikkkson face-off because he’d destroy the original red stater. Which is why he’ll never be on CNN…
Unless, of course, lots of people called and wrote CNN to complain. Not about Erikkkson, but the absence of Cesca. Really, why shouldn’t “America’s most watched network” sign on a lefty blogger of equal or greater value to the progressive blogosphere? Why not be a little more balanced and fair?
There’s no “fairness doctrine” anymore, so if you want to see the man who called Obama’s Nobel Prize “affirmative action” balanced out at all you’d better do something.
I used this page to send this comment:
I saw that you have signed Erik Erikson of Red State to CNN. I’m all for bloggers going mainstream but it’s time you signed a progressive one. Please consider Bob Cesca of bobcesca.com, he’s an experienced pundit who deserves a look.
