Alabama ranks 7th among states for sucking the Federal titty, taking in about $1.66 for every dollar it sends to Washington, but remains captive to a brand of politics that distrusts federalism. See how that works?

    Eerily reminiscent of my old home planet of West “By God” Virginia, where Bubba gets into his pickup truck to head on down out of the holler to pick up his check at the Welfare Office, all the while listening to Rushama Bin Limbaugh rant and rave on his radio about the evils of gov't and Obama. From the there he heads on over to the fuel station to get some of that gov't subsidized, low cost petrol and then on to the local bar to drink his woes away, watching FOX News on the bar's TV, but not edyumecated enough to be able to actually read the misleading chyrons, but nonetheless bitches about them thar ferners who come here to take our god-given jobs away and trash talks the role of gov't as it supposedly intrudes into people's lives, as if that's the real enemy. Yep, sounds very familiar…
