Matthews Destroys Liddy

One by one, the titans of conservative opinion keep falling. G. Gordon Liddy got destroyed by Chris Matthews today. The viral “birther” conspiracy fever may be breaking at last, thanks to Matthews:

Matthews offers a template for dealing with wingnuts. (1) Ask questions, (2) present evidence, (3) ask difficult question to answer, (4) Sit back and nod your head, forcing the wingnut to keep talking. And talking.

Wingnuts are their own worst enemies.

    It still stands to reason, as with any president, the true birth certificate, any school records, etc should simply be open, public record. Why are the lawyers fighting so hard to keep this closed? We still have to deal with the issue of the fact that Obama spent time in Indonesia, with his mother and step-father. Dual citizenship was not an option at that time and on those school records, he is listed as a citizen of Indonesia. So whats so wrong with having Mr. Obama just clear things up by releasing the records. McCain certainly was taken to task and his right to run had to be proven. Why is the same standard not held for this man? Any citizen…any citizen should be able to question the legitimacy of their president and should have the right to see the records without being mocked or hearing the sneers. They also shouldnt be subjected to the name-callng. Some in the media have stooped to a new low. If it concerns any of the citizens of this country, come on, simply produce the documents, not one thats close, not a photo….we all understand that fake documents are made daily. Most of those questioning the legitimacy are not puffed up and proud like the administration representatives who keep minimizing the question. People just want to know, they want truth, and they dont want it thru a picture shown by a sneering media man. Once again, someone tell me why lawyers for Mr. Obama are fighting to keep records closed? And who is paying for this?

    Obama's Hawaii birth certificate is a public record. The original paper document was destroyed along with millions of others when the State of Hawaii went to electronic records, yet the image remains in their database and is available upon request — just like any other birth certificate in the United States. The Mormons request millions of them every year from every state.

    If you want people to respect your opinion, then you should try having a respectable opinion. Stop listening to talk radio blowhards — they will fill your mind with bunk and call it "facts."
