Limbaugh Logic

Rush just digs deeper with Teh Stupid™. He still wants Obama to fail:

Limbaugh’s insanity is self-serving. At the height of Monicagate, Limbaugh complained of being marginalized by his colleagues in talk radio because he wasn’t right-wing enough. Now that Glenn Beck is mainstreaming the fringe, Rush is blowing a dog-whistle for lunatics: his complaint that Obama is “taking over more and more of the average daily life of the American people” is a deliberate use of Teh Wacky™.

By Limbaugh’s measure, America can ‘succeed’ by keeping Sotomayor off the Supreme Court, letting the mortgage and banking industries collapse, and allowing three million jobs to go up in smoke with the US auto industry.

In summation, Limbaugh defines American “success” as a decade-long Great Depression II. This is the logic of a man who thinks government is a football game.

Really, to say that General Motors will now make “cars nobody wants to buy” is a description of the problem that brought GM to bankruptcy in the first place: they made too many gas-guzzling SUVs that nobody wanted to buy anymore. Detroit did that on their own initiative and did not consult Big Brother.

But where Limbaugh really dives head-first into Teh Stupid™ is the assertion that Obama wants to run the auto, mortgage, and banking industries. Lest Limbaugh forget, this state of affairs was already in place when Obama took the oath of office. We The People enjoy this ownership thanks to the Bush administration — even Dick Cheney admitted as much yesterday:

But when you say it is Bush's leftover's people get angry, yet right there is the proof. Of course tomorrow he may deny saying it. With Cheney you never know.

Limpballs is just gross and vulgar. He really can't sit still and actually hates Pres. Obama so badly he doesn't care what happen to the country as long as the President looks bad, and looks like he has failed doing his job. That's it in a nutshell. He will lie, he will distort, he will twist the words of anyone and everyone, even himself, to make the president look terrible and make sure anything that is remotely good is bad.

E J Dionne has a great Op-Ed in WaPo about this today.

    Matt,
    I have but one comment:
"Limbaugh" and "logic" should probably not be used together in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence.

    Great post.

This was made in June of last year? I though Limbaugh held the spotlight a little longer than that. Anyhow, Rush is as reich-wing as his Sarah.
